Lora-Lynn has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. She was the first Media Board Business Manager, overseeing budgets of the 4 media organizations. Employed in manufacturing and service industries, she gathered experience and worked as a liaison with tax specialists, insurance agencies, sales tax auditors, worker's comp companies and state agencies. Lora-Lynn received the Innovative Solutions award from one employer for her work in the selection, implementation and training of a time and billing package. Lora-Lynn operated an accounting business in Fort Myers, Florida for 16 years. Due to her husband's job change she sold the business and relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina - back in her home state!
